Dr. Hester, received the call from God to preach the gospel while in High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Upon his completion of high school in 1967, he began his ministry by traveling across the U.S. as an Evangelist and continued preaching through his Evangelistic Association through 1975.

       While gaining this experience, he continued his education and in 1972 received his B.S. from the University of New Mexico.  Continuing his studies, he attended Southwestern Theological Seminary where he earned his Masters of Divinity in 1975 and then his Doctorate of Ministry at Luther Rice Seminary in 1978.

       Dr. Hester, serving fulltime in the Pastorate since July 1975, has traveled extensively preaching revivals from Florida to Alaska; from New Mexico to Pennsylvania and has pastored churches in New Mexico as well as Florida.

       Called to First Baptist Church of Tullahoma in March of 1997, from Memphis, Tennessee, Dr. Hester continues to serve both God and this community.  He currently serves on a number of Association Committees and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.

       Dr. Hester is married with 2 grown children:  Corrie and Cassie.  His wife Cindy is active in the Music Ministry of First Baptist Church.
